Joe Xi holds a doctorate in computer engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and has over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor and integrated circuits design industry. Prior to founding AlphaScale Technologies, Xi was vice president of product marketing at Cadence Design Systems, where he was responsible for the System-on-Chip product line.
Prior to this role, Xi helped found two startups in Silicon Valley; both were successfully acquired by public trading companies. Xi has held senior engineering and management positions at Intel and National Semiconductor. He also earned a Master of Science degree in computer engineering from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University. He holds titles for over 20 U.S. patents.
