Tanisha A. Sanders is the senior vice president of corporate and legislative affairs for ITG Brands’ Washington, D.C., office. In this role, Sanders serves as a member of the U.S. leadership team and oversees all advocacy, outreach and engagement on critical policy issues at the national level and on behalf of ITG’s entire portfolio of products. As a seasoned professional with over 18 years of experience in government and corporate affairs, Sanders has served in various senior roles for major iconic brands across the globe. Prior to joining ITG Brands, Sanders served as head of government affairs and communications for North America’s leading provider of integrated environmental solutions—Waste Management Inc. Here, she also served as co-chair of the diversity, equity and inclusion council. Sanders built most of her career in the consumer product goods industry for Kellogg Company, where she led and advanced policy priorities both at the federal level and state level as senior director of global government relations. Sanders’ other professional experiences include serving as senior manager of government relations for Covanta Energy as well as working in the Michigan legislature as chief of staff to the chairman of the house insurance committee. Sanders is a strong advocate for initiatives in diversity, equity and inclusion and has served as inspiration to many women through serving her community and mentoring young women by helping to create more exposure and opportunity for them. Currently, she serves on the board of directors for Women in Convivence, Big Brothers, Big Sisters and The Sparrow Foundation. She is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and The Links Incorporated. Sanders holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and pre-law and a Master of Public Administration degree from Western Michigan University. Sanders is the proud recipient of several prestigious awards, recognitions and acknowledgments. When Sanders is not working and empowering other women, she enjoys traveling with her husband, Tyrone D. Sanders Jr., and her proudest accomplishments—their three children, Lauryn, Bryce and Ayden.
